Greetings earthlings!
I have recently been teleported on your planet after escaping from the grip of an intergalactic ruler obsessed with control, like so many governments here on Earth. My exile not only brought new meaning to the term "space cadet", but also exposed me to great ideas like decentralized technology, which provide solace in the middle of insanity. With humor as my shield against fear, I would now like to introduce my tale of two worlds: Tyranny vs. Freedom, or "Why Web3 Matters.  

Spoiler alert: Earth loses first,
but redemption comes in the end...sort of.

You see, my home world embraced a "perfect" society - the utopia promised by central planners. But in reality, an invisible prison replaced any sense of individuality. Partnerships between government and Big Tech produced social credit systems, universal identifiers, control based on CBDCs, intrusive monitoring devices, ubiquitous sensors and ominous spectra expansions. We were lab rats trapped in what seemed like a futuristic paradise, but felt more like sci-fi nightmarish hell worlds.

Humor kept me alive during this oppressive reign. So allow me to share some jokes in case anyone faces similar predicaments:

What does a surveilled citizen say when asked how their day went?
"Great! Just another 'Average Joe' kinda day, thanks for asking!"

Why didn't the economically independent farmer go bankrupt?
Because he learned to grow his own cryptocurrency to offset inflated fiat crops.

Why did the programmer quit her job at Facebook?
She couldn't face another "social engineering" project designed solely to manipulate users' opinions.

So, what's the common thread binding these silly jests and the Web3 salvation plan? Taking ownership of information, transactions, and identity via technology that places human dignity above profiteering elites. It's not just the key to securing privacy, security, and self-determination but ALSO the gateway to cracking smiles even in totalitarian settings. Now that's worth spreading!

I know not all might appreciate gallows humor, but sometimes laughter represents our best chance to defy authoritarians seeking domination. This brings me full circle to the start of my extraterrestrial journey - the discovery that humans have begun emulating the mistakes we escaped, albeit wrapped in deceptively enticing packaging.

Keep exploring, learning, chuckling, questioning, experimenting, loving, dreaming, connecting, sharing, and growing - because the future remains brightest when we reject those attempting to dim our celestial stars.
